Care Tips
Although cultivated and naturalized all over the globe, Jasminum polyanthum is native to many regions in Western Asia. It is easy to grow indoors and is perhaps one of the most rewarding plant you can grow. It grows fast and puts on a beautiful display of flowers starting in July. A healthy Jasminum polyanthum will need:
- plenty of direct sunlight, although it will tolerate lots of indirect light
- a pebble tray, humidity-loving neighbors, and light mistings during warmer months will encourage lush flowering
- as with most potted plants, well draining soil. I recommend adding perlite, bark, or any other soil amendment that improves aeration
- heavy pruning of old and thin branches after flowering cycle for heavy flowering next cycle
