Care Tips
Monstera deliciosa is native to some of the most humid tropics in Central America and now exists as a mildly invasive species in many other regions. The Monstera is known for its ease of care. A healthy and thriving Monstera deliciosa will need:
- plenty indirect sunlight. At least a few feet away from east-west facing windows, for example
- a pebble tray, humidity-loving neighbors, and light mistings during warmer months will help maintain humidity, especially if indoors
- Loose but rich soil. Well aerated and high in organic content. Good drainage is key! Peat is a good option
- regular feeding (1-2 times a month) with all-purpose fertilizer during the growing season
