Myrtus communis
The Myrtus communis is an evergreen shrub from the Myrtaceae family which includes clove, guava, and eucalyptus! An excellent choice for an indoor bonsai which is my plan with this particular plant.
Care Tips
Myrtus communis can be found in many subtropic to temperate regions, especially surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. It grows in well-draining soils of medium moisture and is often exposed to direct sunlight. A healthy and thriving Myrtus communis will need:

- direct sunlight or plenty of indirect sunlight. Very unlikely to suffer leaf-burn, so place it right on the window sill!

- Unless your plant is very well established, be careful not to let the soil dry out. Water when top inch is completely dry. (also depends on soil used)

- as with most potted plants, well draining soil. I recommend adding perlite, sand, or any other soil amendment that improves aeration
